Our name comes from my Uncle Joe Thaxton.  Every time we visited him, I remember Uncle Joe saying let’s go get some BBQ.  He would take us to a little BBQ pit place and purchase this wonderful meat. Then he would come home and make us a great BBQ sauce for dipping the meat in.

As I got older and became interested in cooking myself, I tried to recreate his recipe. The original is as close to his as I remember.  But as a Texan, I can appreciate the spicier things in life… hence the Chipotle and Southwest sauces.
The other thing I considered was how could I send it to my family and friends and keep it fresh. The idea was born to make a dry form of BBQ sauce just like Uncle Joe’s. Now everybody can spice it up and add their own ingredients and have their own secret recipes.

I am happy to say the sauces are packaged and ready to share with not only my family, but yours too. I also created some recipes that you won’t find quite the same anywhere else. My neighbors, relatives and anyone else I could get to try my new recipes have all put their two cents in to make them just right for you and your family.

My goal was to make each recipe have only a few ingredients and most you should normally have to avoid a trip to the store. Something quick and easy!
